ANONYMOUS PRESS RELEASE #OPSOUTHERNLAND #OPALABAMA #OPCLEANUP

Citizens of the World:
In Times of Trouble #WeAre Required to Stand #AsOne The Southern United States needs our help.  #Now.

#WeAre #AllOne.  Join us as #WeRise to aid our fellow man in #OpSouthernland, #OpAlabama, and #OpCleanUp.  Stand side by side with us to ensure that those who have lost everything are still able to cling to #hope. #HelpUs make them understand that #WeCare about our fellow man.

The tornadoes arrived in a lightening flash, thousands lost their homes, their families, their possessions.  They lost their lives as they once knew them.

The rest of the nation sits idly by holding their collective breath, anxiously awaiting the sporadic tweets coming from friends and families stating that they are #safe in a basement somewhere.  Sadly, some messages were to remain unanswered and forgotten.

Over 300 tornadoes have torn through  the south, leaving unfathomable paths of destruction in their wake. The tornadoes leveled many communities across several states.

Many lives were lost, leaving faith a difficult thing to conceive.

#Anonymous asks for your hand in supporting our commitment to offer immediate assistance to all those affected.  #Anonymous will be there to donate any and all funds possible and to assist with the damages.  We will help people rebuild the lives that were ripped from them so suddenly.

While FEMA, the Red Cross, and The United Way sit in their well-coiffed offices wondering why they should help Alabama and surrounding states, we will be in action helping those who are thirsty, but we have to know where to get drinking water from.  We will be in action handing out food for those who have nothing to eat.  We will be there making sure that there is enough to go around and that everyone is taken care of.  We will help provide temporary schools so that children can continue their education during this devestating and traumatic time.  We will do this because #WeAre #WeThePeople.

We cannot count on the United States Federal Government to help those in need, in any sort of timely fashion.  And we cannot afford to delay those ravaged the assistance they need any longer. The disaster in the south is playing second fiddle to The Royal Wedding.  The victims are being put on the back burner.  Anonymous will not stand for this incompetence and complacency on the part of any government.

Join us in our fight to help those who suffered the loss of life, housing, and food.  Stand by us because you too are Anonymous.

We are Anonymous.
We are legion.
We do not forgive.
We do not forget.
Expect Us.

Additional Information:

Presstorm has an op started called #opcleanup

They will be travelling to Alabama on May 2, 2011 with two semi trucks full of donations.  Presstorm is from Michigan – one of the poorest states in the nation.  If Michigan is able to help, #Anonymous is able to help more.  They have numerous volunteers travelling down there to meet them.  If you are interested, contact jamie@presstorm.com for instructions or visit the following links:

Cash donations from individuals can be done via the Presstorm website. There is a link at the top of the page to donate. Although nobody – including Presstorm – likes Paypal, they are choosing to use it in the case of this emergency to help those who have lost everything.

Most other organizations helping wish to distribute funds to Red Cross, FEMA, and United Way – all of which have not responded in full to the disaster in the south. The funds donated to Presstorm will be documented and receipts will be given for tax deduction purposes.  A running list can be found on the Presstorm site listing who donated and where all donated goods will go or have gone.

Presstorm has announed that funds will be used mostly to purchase diapers and infant formula along with fuel for volunteer equipment such as bobcats and chainsaws. At no time will Presstorm profit from any donation received – per the Presstorm site.  If Presstorm is not available or cannot be reached, they have created a list below of places where donations and/or funds can be sent.
